A pair of Indian cast brass Art Nouveau candlesticks in the form of rearing snakes, with Persian enamels to the fronts, backs, tails and undersides of sconces in red & blue enamels. This model was retailed through English department stores such as Liberty of London, as examples of exotic metalware. Nice old wear. c1890 – 1910. 18cm H x 12cmD.
